I had a lovely time photographing this spring wedding at The Maples Wedding & Events in Woodland recently. It was a beautiful day photographing this Sacramento wedding and I am thrilled to share it with you!
What Makes The Maples Special
The Maples has this really cool Italian vibe that I love. The whole property is surrounded by olive trees, which creates such a pretty, natural setting. The stonework throughout the venue adds great texture to photos, and those tile roofs give everything a Mediterranean feel that’s hard to find elsewhere in the Sacramento area.
What I really appreciate about this venue is how many different spaces they have. There are several lawn areas for ceremonies, plenty of room for cocktail hour, and the reception space flows really well. It makes my job easier because I can get variety in the photos without having to travel to different locations throughout the day.
The Perfect Spring Color Palette
This couple went all out with their spring colors, and it looked amazing. They chose bright pastels that just made everything feel so happy and fresh. The soft pinks, purples, and yellows worked perfectly with the natural surroundings and really popped against the olive trees and stone features.
The florals were gorgeous too. Everything felt very springtime but still elegant, which is exactly what you want for wedding photos. The colors photographed beautifully and really captured that joyful spring wedding vibe.
Stylish Wedding Guests
Can we talk about how well-dressed the wedding guests were?? Everyone clearly put effort into their outfits, and the spring dresses were absolutely stunning. As a Sacramento wedding photographer, I notice when guests dress up because it makes such a difference in the overall look of the photos. The flowing fabrics and soft colors created this cohesive, polished feel throughout all the candid shots and group photos.
You could tell everyone was excited to be there celebrating, which always makes for better photos. When people are genuinely happy and having fun, it shows in every picture.

For Sacramento area couples, The Maples offers something really special. The Italian-inspired setting gives you those elevated, romantic photos, but the venue still feels relaxed and welcoming. The variety of spaces means we can create different looks throughout your wedding day without feeling rushed or repetitive.
