It was the perfect location for this unforgettable couples session. As a Bend Wedding Photographer, I always strive to choose locations that highlight the unique connection between my couples, and Sparks Lake delivered in every way. The glassy waters, towering pines, and fields of wildflowers created the ideal backdrop for this session, blending breathtaking scenery with deeply personal moments.
What made this shoot extra special was the instant connection I felt with the couple. Allison a talented photographer herself, and we bonded quickly over our shared passion for wedding photography. As a Bend Wedding Photographer, there’s something truly inspiring about working with someone who understands the craft. Their Midwest roots also struck a personal chord, as my husband is from the same region. It felt like we had known each other for years, and that comfort translated beautifully into the photos.
To make their session even more personal, I incorporated details from a pre-session questionnaire they filled out. They danced to their first dance song in a wildflower field and shared their favorite snack—popcorn—while playfully tossing pieces to one another.
