Hendricks Park Engagement Photos

Engagements

If you’re into park engagement photos that feel less like a photoshoot and more like a really solid date with your person, this one’s for you.

Katie & Ben wanted their session to feel relaxed, fun, and true to them. No awkward poses, no forced romance. Just good vibes, snacks, and a little adventure. So that’s exactly what we did.

We met up at Hendrick’s Park in Eugene, OR—aka one of the best spots in town if you’re into forest-y, mossy, slightly magical vibes without having to drive 45 minutes into the woods. They brought champagne (never a bad idea), a full-on charcuterie board (respect), and card games (things got competitive fast). It felt more like crashing someone’s picnic than running a session—and honestly, that’s the sweet spot.

We wandered through the trees, laughed a lot, spilled a little champagne, and let the park do its thing. Hendrick’s has this soft, glowy light that hits just right in the late afternoon. Add two people who are clearly obsessed with each other and not afraid to be themselves, and suddenly the camera doesn’t feel like a big deal anymore.

Once the sun dipped, we packed up the snacks and headed into downtown Eugene to keep the date going. We popped into a local bar (the kind with moody lighting and good drinks) and finished the session there. The downtown shots brought a totally different vibe to their gallery, and it felt like the perfect extension of the story we started in the park.

So yeah, if you’ve been thinking about park engagement photos but want something a little more you, take this as your sign: make it a date. Bring the wine, bring the weird card game you always win, and let it be less about “looking perfect” and more about being present.
